hey my friend has a 98 gt and he just got cobra fogs for his cobra bumper that was on the car when he got it. the old owner has done many stupid things and this is one of them....underneath the fog light switch there is nothing, and under the radio is all the wires which are cut, and I assume went to the fog light switch. We went to ford and they couldnt sell just that part which we need. So I need to know how we can wire these...directly to the battery and just get a generic switch?, wire them into the parking lights so they turn on with them?....also how would we go about doing that...and other options spit em out, thanks a lot guys

MustangMan00:

Get a Haynes manual (less than $20 at AutoZone, Borders Books, etc.) and flip to the back where you'll find wiring schematics. You want to use the same gauge for each wire as the factory wiring (bigger wire is OK but it is bulky to work with). You might go to the junkyard (if there's one close by) and pull a harness out and splice it in. That would be the cleanest method, imho.

you could also use a 5 pin relay and wire them just as you would an hid kit,
with a switched 12 volt power lead for the relay turn on, which you could take from the aux power point and put the stock switch inline. or a toggle in the center console. ohh and make sure to get an inline fuse if you go this route.

or you could just get the haynes manual. :D
