Well I finally got off of work from both jobs to go to A-Day (Alabama's spring football game). I know,... I know spring game who wants to go to that. Its kind of a big thing down here. A lot going on before the game on campus and also after the game. I'm carrying some friends with me and my wife down to Birmingham friday night for a night out at the clubs. Then the next morning we have to head over to Tuscaloosa for the game.

I have always been a huge Bama fan. Here you either pull for bama or auburn mostly. I have had several chances to go to games over the past few years and always something came up like either I had to work or I had to work.

I cannot wait to go. I may be 25 but i'll prolly act like a kid in a candy shop when I get there.

Just wanted to share my excitement.

Also, as the new shirts say that are all over E-bay.

"Real fans show up for practice" thats why there was over 100,000 at the spring game last year.

ROLL TIDE!!!!

I have never been to the A day game but I have been to a home coming game and a Iron Bowl. It's a great atmosphere. I want to go to A day this year but Bama dragway is having a jet semi, two jet trains (I have never even heard of this) and a wheelstanding school bus Saturday.

Cool I went and got a new jersey (no. 81) and a houndstooth koozie (for drinkin beers while on the quad).
My wife is an auburn fan and I'm making her take her auburn tag off our 05 Escape and she has to wear a no. 22 (formerly DJ HALL) jersey all day saturday.

Having a Auburn tag could possibly be hazardous to the looks of the escape. Maybe you can convert your wife while your there. I hear that last year the A day game was almost like a normal game day the was everyone was tailgating and hanging out on the quad.

I will be there for the game Saturday! I just hope there is not 90,000 people there this time like last year they had to turn peolpe away because there were so many. If you have not been to the stadium since the new addition you will be amazed. I have been to many college stadium's and the atmosphere is unreal. No other place compairs.

I am really looking forward to the next few years. ROLL TIDE!!

Yea I told her the tag had to come off for safty purposes.

I have talked to some friends and it looks to be very big yet again.

There is a possibility of more people being there than there was last year.

I have not seen the stadium since the addition of the walk of champions was added.

I have never been in the stadium. I have had 5 chances to go over the years and something always came up.

From what I understood Coach Saban ended that.

It was planned to play PSU for three years (atleast) before Coach Saban came to town.

He now has a lot of control over the scheduling.

It was not this way in the past and hasn't been since Coach Stallings.

Our new game for this year is Clemson (being played in the Georgia Dome).

Clemson is going to be a tough game. More than likely they will be ranked in the top ten to start the year.

The new additions to the stadium makes the place unvelievable. I hope to try to go to atleast one game there this year.

Atleast this year they should be prepared for a big turnout if 90,000 do show up.

The Clemson game will be awesome I will be there too:banana:

I wish we could get some games with Penn State that would bring back an old rivalry.

Seeing first hand what happened this past year things are only looking up:nice:

They did not look bad. JP had a good game I believe he was 17-34 256yds three 3td's and 1int.

Defence did not look to bad either. Really the only thing that I saw that I think we need is a deep threat at wide reciver. Dont get me wrong we have some good ones but not any that can stretch the field like Prothro, or Hall.

I left after the first half because I got burnt. There were not as many people as last year but there were still 78,200 in attendence.

Can wait for the season.

It was great my first experience at bryant denny. THe game was good. The deffence is not that great but it something they can work on. The offence was good seeing how they were only mainly working on the passing game. Terry Grant showed leadership. Our starting runningback was out because of recovering from shoulder surgery. We have a long season ahead of us. The reciever core has no standouts, but looks like they all have good hands. I had a great time at the game the only thing is that I have had to miss all day because of sunburns. I'm toasted. I never noticed it at the game. Also on www.tidesports.com I got interviewed as we were the only guys drinkin beer on the quad before 11 a.m.

Here is the link to my vid. i"m in the center with my two buds at 1:12 into the video!

That's a funny video! I wish I would have went there instead of the Thunder Nationals at Bama dragway. I wasted 40 dollars on two tickets for a show that wasn't worth 2. I would have had alot more fun at A day.

I'm glad the team is looking pretty good. I have heard that we're still pretty thin at linebacker and running back though. Alot of the great recruits this year are still not in school yet so we won't get to see what the look like till fall.
