Get some gears and slicks and you will be in the 13's with what you have.

All my mods are in my sig. The 13.4 is at 2300', should be 13.1-13.2 at sea level.

13.11 @ 102 MPH.

Just basic stuff. 15* timing, 3.73s, 73mm MAF 65mm T body, Mac equal shorties, subframes, UD pulleys, M/T 26x8.5 ET Drags..

Motor from intakes to pan is stock with about 100000 miles, has stock 4 cat H pipe [cats arent hogged] as well.

OK, let me clarrify my praise position. Sub frames? MT Drags? Anything less than 13.11 would be a dissapointment. Granted, 25thmustang may have left out some mods on his parts post, but there is no mention in his sig of drag tires, subs, control arms, or any other traction features in his sig. Since traction (and good driving) is one of the only things keeping most stockers out of the twelves, solid 13.0 passes with his rudimentary engine parts are damn impressive. Unless, of course, there are things he didn't tell us about.

Not sure how I should take that... but it seemed directed at me. I think 25th Mustang runs ET Streets? [same as ET Drags pretty much] if I remember correctly from another post a while back..

Next time i'll try for a 12.90 or something. I never said my car was spectacular, I wasn't trying to brag, but I dont think that running 13.1 in any Mustang with a higher mileage stock engine, stock intakes and stock cat convertors is UN impressive either. But everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I think that any of the stock motored ones that runs sub 13.50s on a slick or stock tire are doing pretty good myself.

Whats your car run? What did it run with the stock engine? [i'm merely asking not trying to be a jerk]

The post asked about 13 second cars to list mods.. so I did. I hope to crack the 12s with the car pretty much the way it is. With some control arms, and a short belt, and a few more passes [that was thw 1st time I took the car to the track with the current setup - made 3 runs] I think it will.

Anyways, i'm happy with how it runs, and i've seen quite a few Stangs that did have H/C/I run same times or only a tenth or two quicker on a ET street or ET Drag tire for that matter...

Can't wait till the track opens!!!!!

No worries mate. No offense meant nore taken. it wasn't aimed directly at you, but after seeing the posts after mine it seemed like a good idea at the time to say why I thought his times were good.
I crack dead 13's with street tires, on the street with a G-tech; listing my mods would be l o n g, boring and pointless. Anyone truly curious can follow the link in my sig, but since I have over 228,000 miles on this engine, my times are a poor example of what the sum of my parts are capable of. Didn't want to step on any feet, it's all good.

I checked out your GT, the suspension setup is killer! NIce car.

The street tire times I have were from way back when I first bought this car. I went in the spring of 2002, and it still had the 3.08s in it, and the stock T body, but had the MAF, pulleys, subframes and stuff. I went 13.8 twice once at 99 and once at 100 MPH.

Then that summer I bought a Zex kit, and broke a 2.95 T5Z that I bought used and had just put in, like a month after So the car sat all summer. Fall 2002 I bought a brand new T5-Z [current one] and went back on street tires [they were about bald] with the spray and still 3.08 gears & stock T body. And you are right its quite hard on a street tire because the car only went 13.66, BUT @ 110.9 something MPH sprayning 2,3, & 4 on the 100 jets. Stepped up to the 125 jet [I told myself I wouldnt]. Cut a nice 2.0 60' too, and then went to grab 3rd and the gas pedal got hung up on the floormat and it stayed on the limiter for a second or two and I got it unhooked but it had bent my T body blade, and 1 plug looked like had started to melt So, I only ever made 1 full run on the nitrous.

Sold the nitrous [was in wintertime who cares mode] bought the gears and T body this year, along with the slicks. And it runs what it runs now Wonder what it would run with the nitrous back on.

Schlodes, i think your car runs damn good for the mods. Ofcourse you run slicks, who wants to spin at the dragstrip. Anyways, my car is an all stock 95GT except for a 3.73 and it run 13.46 with street tires... did anyone say it had to be all motor? haha
