I spent 2 weeks in Eastern Europe to visit the in-laws. Beer is like 80 cents a liter and a glass of wine is like 10 cents lol... Needless to say my liver took a hit in the past 2 weeks. Some pics:

Nice! I've been to the UK, but unfortunately it was on business, and I didn't get to do anything tourist-y. It's like being in a dream, isn't it? Everything is familiar, but at the same time, everything is completely different. I bet even more so in the places you went to, at least in the UK they speak English, haha.

Thanks, most of my time was spent in Slovakia in a small town, forgot the name. It's about 4 hours from Bratislava. It was good, people are nice. Tough to spend time in a place that doesn't speak any language you know but once drunk, it's pretty easy ha!

We used to make several trips courtesy of my wife's old company. Been trying to get over there on our own for a couple of years now. The expense of the exchange rate of the dollar to the euro has always been the hurdle. Is Slovakia on the Euro?

The last time we went to Europe out of our pockets was in 07' to Ireland. The exchange rate had the dollar at about .65 Euro back then, and a Pint of Guiness was still 4 Euro. That still meant we paid $6 for every drink.
I believe that the Euro is still that strong.

So back to my question, is Slovakia on the Euro? Because if not, It looks like a cool place to go as an alternative.

Yup it's on the Euro but beer is cheap anyway.
