I am stumped. So I changed my clutch cable because the pedal would go to the floor and the cable looked frayed. I hooked up the new clutch cable and still the same, the pedal has a little resitance then clicks little resistance then clicks. What coulcd that be. For a while i could at least turn the car over but it would just lunge either forward or backward depending on what gear it was in then die. I wasn;t able to shift. Now i cant turn the car over at all. the new clutch cable is hooked up and hooked up the same way as the old one.

What could it be? Did i hook it up wrong (dont think so)

Please help for the love of god. I need my baby back. Its been outside for a month now.

does it still have the plastic stock quadrant in it? If so it sounds like it is broken and needs replaced with an aftermarket quadrant.

yeah, get an aftermarket quadrant. your clutch cable isnt disengaging the clutch all the way. take the tranny out of gear and see if the car will stay on when you start it

Don't even worry about gettin your paws in there to remove it, just bust it out. The hard part for me was gettin the new one in. Tight fit, but I ended up finding it easier to play with it through the clutch hole in the firewall.
