For those of you that don't use a spring compressor

Got the springs and new strange shocks put in today. Now I have a bad rattle in the trunk, I assume where the rear shocks bolt in at the top. The new shocks came with new rubbers (New rubbers, but no metal sleeve that went between the rubbers and the shock shaft like the stock one had, and the stock sleeve was too big to fit in the strange rubbers.), so I used those my first try, and on my test drive it was really bad. After dinner, I switched those out for the stock rubbers with the metal sleeve. It was better, but is still clunking. I have been searching, and looking on summit/rock auto, but I dont see a new rubber and metal sleeve kit for the rear shocks. I am guessing that is what I need. Oh.. And the quad shocks are bad too.. Go figure.

Other then that, spring install went pretty smooth. I'm planning on getting insurance back on her this week, and drive it a few days to let everything settle before I get it aligned.

KYB Shocks & Struts KG4521 - KYB Gas-a-Just Shocks and Struts - Overview - SummitRacing.com Quad shock? The picture doesn't look like what I remember looking at. Seems like it needs a hole for a bolt to go thru at both ends. Says it is the correct part though..

Still havent found new bushings for the rear shocks.

I'm pretty happy with them for the price. They were hard to get hooked in, and the weatherstripping they put on them (by the part of the light that goes next to the metal fender) is not real good.

Other then that, they look pretty good, and are way brighter then my old yellowed ones.

I don't have a real good picture of them on the car. This gives you an idea.
