For those who have done the FOX tb conversion?

I need to know where to find a spacer for the fox tb conversion. I am not running the egr so I only need the spacer. It is just like this:

Only problem is I need it thicker, like 1/2" or so. All of them that I have found are like 3/8 (which I alreay have one) but with clearance issues I need one thicker. About a year ago or so I could fine them on ebay pretty easily, now I can't find anyone who sells them.

Help me out guys.

Oh yeah, and I don't have to have it with the thottle cable mount. Its fine if it has it, but I can make do without it. (If one even exists).

couldn't you hust get 2 of them and put them together. or you will have to make one to the thickness you need.

you can always buy the 1 inch and have a machine shop mill it down for you. hell if you don't want to pay to mill it you could always paste some sand paper to the work bensh and start rubing the spacer in a figure eight pattern on the paper. lol. works with dirt bike heads and cylinders when they are warped.

good idea, you could get one of those "tornado" throttle body spacers and get +50 hp also!

I have a 3/8" with washers, but have thought about making one thats about 5/8" or so for clearance. If all else fails, I could make a bunch of them if people are interested.

I spaced out my throttle bracket which would collide with the rail.

I think he's talking about using washers on just the throttle bracket bolts. I wish I would have thought of that when I did mine, it's a pretty tight fit. The part on the bottom of the tb that opens the throttle was hitting the fuel rails on mine, so I needed two spacers anyways.

I occasionally have to run wire at work so I've learned a thing or two about hiding wires. I do still have a bit of a mess by the firewall, but it's not too bad. Oink ran his wires inside the car and cut a hole in the transmission tunnel so they would come out directly behind the engine. That's a bit more work than I was willing to do with mine...

When I had a Victor Jr. intake on my 347 I had enough clearance to go without a spacer at all. I'm not sure what intake you have but maybe it would be easier to just get a plenum spacer like mine had. Dunno if you have the hood clearance though (I didn't, but I slammed the hood and made it fit!! )

subtlebeast - Thanks for the info, I called them yesterday and you are correct. I don't need a 2 inch spacer, but I figure I can have it machined down to what ever I need.

I got mine from a guy that custom makes them to whatever size you need. He was on ebay and I got mine 3/4" thick with a 75mm throttle body opening. I got mine that thick so that I could keep my cruise control. It was also threaded for the throttle cable bracket.

How much is this guy charging? I could do it if a few people want them. I need to make one anyways, so if I'm going to model it up and program the machine to do it, I might as well make more than one.
