I have a 1966 mustang with the stock 8.8" rear end and I am looking into changing it. Rather than just changing the 3rd member I am really wanting to upgrade the whole rear end. Preferably I would like to be able to go to the junk yard and pull a similar sized rear end off of a newer ford vehicle that has disc brakes and a limited slip differential. I have heard before that a few different vehicles have similar if not the same wheelbase. I was wondering if anybody has a list of cars whose rear ends would work. Please let me know.
