i've currently got the bbk firewall and quad kit.i've had it for almost 2 years of trouble free operation since i shimmed the quad with the firewall hole.last week the cable started making funny noises and i want to do like most and use the factory ford non-adjustable cable with the aftermarket adjuster.where is the cheapest place to get them besides a ford dealer.i haven't checked the dealer yet but i get a good discount because our shop has an account with them.i was just looking for the best deal to save money because i just spent alot replacing the r/f fender, new lx bumper cover, header panel, bumper support and all new lights in the front.thanks

MM's quadrant/firewall adjuster/cable setup is unmatched on the market. With the Ford cable, you won't need to replace any of that stuff for a long time unless you screw it up yourself.

And the cheapest place to get an oem-style cable is Diversified. I just ordered a new cable from them, and new quadrant and FWA from elsewhere last night.

As Daggs and 85SS said, the MM cables seem to get some nice reviews (the univ Ford one is what I read about. 60 bucks IIRC). I am not sure about the FWA and or quadrant comments - the Fiore stuff is looking pretty cool to me. Looks VERY user friendly. It was too rich for my blood. I adjust my clutch once every 2-3 years anyhow.

Good luck.

Here is what I just ordered. I will use the fork next time I do a clutch. It is the OEM style cable - the 'good one' you hear everyone refer to.

Good luck.
