ford racing top end kit?

i was flipping in the late model resto book and found a ford racing top end kit.
it comes with the cobra upper and lower, gt40X heads roller rockers,
timing chain, head bolts, and the E cam also new valve covers and gaskets.
the price is 2169.00$
i'm just trying to figure out if this would be enough for my goals i have in mind.

i'm looking for a fun 12 sec street car that would be street legal and pass the sniffer test. it's not a daily driver but just of my days off and when i'm having fun.

would this top end kit get the job done or should i save to the trick flow or holly kits?

oh by the way it's a 88 5.0 with a 5 speed. current mods are h-pipe,flow-master catback and a alum drive shaft. other wise the car is stock. but will soon have a new limited slip and 3.73's

For a top end kit the trick flow or holley is a nice kit, that being said a the frpp kit is okay, but not a fan of the chinese cobra intake and alphabet cams. A set of drag radials, 3:73's and a top end kit with a decent 60ft time will get you into the 12's, just be advised you have the weaker of the stock T5 years and it isn't going to last trying to get you into the 12's. I would start saving for a stronger T5 or a tko swap.
