I was wondering when the dealer put my Mcleod stage 2 clutch in they said it wouldn't be under warranty... which I can understand for the parts. You would think they would be responsible for the install though... which they say is not covered. Shouldn't the install be warrantied to make sure it works properly since they did it? (Ford Dealer Mechanics can you please reply) ??

The reason I ask is my clutch fork (I believe) makes a rattling noise sometimes around 3200rpm before I shift as soon as I step on the clutch it goes away. The only thing it does this sporadically.

Thanks

The R&R of the trans should be covered if it was something they did wrong on installation, for example if its been making the noise since day one after you got it back. But if another component later on in time has developed a problem that is a different situation. Sounds like you have throwout bearing or clutch fork problem. At my dealership we only warranty the work of the parts we sell and install. If you bring in your own parts you are out of luck if you have a problem later on down the road.
