Found a good deal on these turbo kits

Turbo kits.....not something i would buy on ebay. Especially a cheapo one. Of course, i didn't see the auction, so it could have been a reputable kit. But typically it's only of those deals where a good kit is gonna cost you some $$$

Search ebay and you'll find sub-$200 chinese-made knockoff turbos. The parts are getting out there

For a Mustang, if the kit is under $3000 new then it is prolly complete crap. Intercooler with crap welds and way too small, pipes that are thin walled and will rust and turbos that are crap and will fail by next oil change.

+1 I built a custom kit from the ground up and I can tell you will only be as fast as your weakest part. You get an POS turbo, it will burn up after a week of use, get a crap wastegate, it locks up and you make 20+lbs of boost you see oil and chunks of your block all over the road. Also those kits do not include the more expensive parts like, MAF, fuel pumps+ injectors, chip/tune, k-member/coilovers and that can add up to another $1500-2500 bucks. So you are looking at $5500-6500 bucks right there for just a POS ebay kit. Your better off getting a kit from hellion power systems. link -----> 99-04 Mustang GT Single Turbo System - 350 to 850 HP:flag:

Ive done a decent amount of research on hp performace and their turbo kits seem like the most bang for your buck alot of people have recomended them and i plan on using one of their kits. do some research on them before you look at the price though

1996-2004 mustang turbo system

HP performance is a great setup, but everyone I know that has this kit had to wait FOREVER to get it, they are sooo backed up right. I would still take the hellion over this kit and if you did get the hellion kit, make sure to upgrade to the Precision Turbo w/ billet wheel. (Turbonetics turbos = fail)

Thats the nice thing about HP and hellion they include everything. I dont think HP includes a fuel pump but Im not 100% sure.:nice:

get yourself a good turbo and build it. its not very hard to do.

or get the kit and use a decent turbo. there are reputable copmpanies on ebay the rebuild quality turbos. i have used two so far, and just got number three. have yet to have an issue that wasnt my fault.
