Ok, I'll let you in on a secret, in the 5.0 tech forum, I gently moved you question over here, on the main page you will see 5.0 technical/how to thread, there you will find a list of things that will help your stang run better, jump higher and look good doing it. In that list you will see the 'surging idle checklist ' read through it, then go step by step, take notes and it will help you resolve you problems, one of the first things will be to check for codes, you likely will find more than one so if you have any questions post them in this thread and the members will help you with answers. Do the steps one by one, don't jump around, it was put together by a wizard (jrichker) that sits in a tower wearing a long pointy hat and spends his off times casting spells on unsuspecting prius owners.
Welcome to stangnet.

You guys with idle/stall problems could save a lot of time chasing your tails if you would go through the Surging Idle Checklist. Over 50 different people contributed information to it. The first two posts have all the fixes, and steps through the how to find and fix your idle problems without spending a lot of time and money. It includes how to dump the computer codes quickly and simply as one of the first steps. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions. You can post questions to that sticky and have your name and idle problem recognized. The guys with original problems and fixes get their posts added to the main fix. :D

It's free, I don't get anything for the use of it except knowing I helped a fellow Mustang enthusiast with his car. At last check, it had more than 250,000 hits, which indicates it does help fix idle problems quickly and inexpensively.

not tuned i did all the idle check list and got it to idle a little better what i notice was that if i disconect the iab/iac it does not affect the car at all i replaced it with a new motorcraft unite an still nothing
Someone set the base idle speed by using the throttle stop screw. See the Surging Idle Checklist link that I posted to find the correct way to set the base idle speed.
