Fox body mustang with 18s

anybody running 285 40 18s on a fox?
i have the wheels ready to mount on the car(after i finish the 5 lug conversion) i have 275 40 17s on the car(rear) and they fit great, bought the 18s and had to go to 185s after i mounted the tires, im a little scepitcal there gona fit....

you need a 35 series tire for something that wide

285/35/17 is what you want.


WOuld help to know wheel BS, offset and the brake setup though. We can't guess.

i put 255 35 18 on the front, looks nice....dont have much choice i allready installed the tires on the rims...the 285s look sweet but kinda large...hmm...hopefully a fender roll will do the trick..

I'm running 285/35/18... 40's and i think you'll have a rubbing issue. I rolled still with my 35's

285/35s here... 40s would be a bit taller.

Well that helps, they look sweet on youre ride, mine like you said will sit a little taller, but i can deal with that...I wanted a 275 40 and nitto did not have so I went to the 285 40....prob should have went with the 35 series...did you have any major clearance issues? and how wide are youre rims?
