I've seen a lot of vette carts and such but no fox body carts. Anybody working on one or know someone who's done it?

That's because those vettes have a frame and the fox body platform is unitbody, besides that it's kinda stupid.

Maybe i'm in the minority, but i have no clue what a vette cart is (or a foxbody cat for that matter).
Even if both words matched (which i'm assuming they are supposed to), i still have no clue what it means.

Roadkill Vette Kart Rally Racing with Mike Finnegan and Chris Forsberg: Faster with Finnegan, Episode 3

The Roadkill Vette-Kart can do it all! Really? What about racing a rally-prepped Subaru, driven by drift champion Chris Forsberg?

Those two guys( Frieburg, and Finnegan) have done more to trash the hobby than anybody.

Stripping the car down to make a metal covered box, that by virtue of weight loss makes it faster, ( but illegal for just about anything, and equally unsafe) is about as stupid as their show is...

When intelligent people stop watching stupid sht, these two Bozo’s will be relegated to stripping parts off of salvage yard cars for their livelihoods instead of doing it for entertainment on TV.

Come on Mike, it's more real that that horse show monkey wrench or whatever it's called.
I will admit they have done some sketchy like that sbc blower in that pos impala.
At least it is real, fast and loud!
Who doesn't want to drag mom's convertible, that ain't moved in 25 years, out of the back yard, freshen up the brakes, throw new tires on it , an old wool blanket on the seat springs then drive it halfway across the country?
Just like building something, it's not always the destination.
Yes, David Freidburger is one of my automotive heros.

Wow, I was thinking about a cart to roll a shell around during a restoration.

I've found some of their acts border line criminal. It's one thing to risk your own life, but to go out on public roads in the rain on slicks, to turn a pinto with original tires into a tow vehicle? They could have killed someone.
They should have been locked up.

Texas, yes i've seen leroy. Entertaining? Somewhat.
But the reality is i'm a car enthusiast.
Nothing car is left of these so called "karts".
And again, wasn't the cletus guy under fire for his lack of safety protocol?
It's only a matter of time before some show has a major tragedy and their world collapses.

it’s a 7-second quarter mile stick shift car!! Somewhat entertaining? Lol

Its also a fully certified car with lots of money invested and no corners cut. It’s definitely not a Roadkill build lol

“it’s only a matter of time”. People probably says the same about Evel Knievel.

How Cleetus hasn’t had a serious wreck is beyond me. And that’s not a knock against him, that car just seems like a wild ride.

I cannot believe Street Rodder, MM&FF and Car Craft magazines were killed for the kind of hackery on Hot Rod TV and Road Kill.

I am referring to the financial decision by the corporation, not the evilness of Mark Z. It’s hard to believe YouTube stunt quality crap is more profitable than how to and feature car magazines.

Ohh..I don’t know,...people used to go to the arena to watch lions and tigers eat people...

looks like nothing has changed..As long as there is some stupid sht to watch on TV, there’s gonna be some stupid guy watching it. The dumbass side bar commentary, the never ending “ deadlines” that they barely get done with, and the set up “ gags” to make the show less mundane in the eyes of the producers proves that the people making these programs know nothing about working on cars.

There isn’t a single car guy show on that isn’t stupid sht.

I like to catch Ian on Full Custom Garage, Gearz (DS is a goof, but I like his results and have for decades), and formerly Jared and Lou. The pair on two guys garage have never been worth much time, nor have the ones that replaced Jared and Lou. Jesse Combs was a real loss.

At the very end of the "magazine era" you had so much duplication (with a few new players foolishly trying to break in to a dying market) that it was ridiculous.

Hot Rod, Popular Hot Rodding, Rod and Custom, and Car Craft may have catered to slightly different crowds, but they were all four about mainstream domestic performance cars. Then there was Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords, Mustang Monthly, Mustang Enthusiast, Mustang and Fords for the blue oval set. Sure, this one catered mainly to the S197 crowd, that one focused mostly on classics, and then there was the one that was all about the fox-bodies, but they all also had a ridiculous amount of overlap.

So you had an oversaturated market, with pro builders and enthusiasts alike trying to get into their pages... then Facebook and Youtube come along and let them promote themselves for free. Eventually, the publishers, feeling the crunch, dropped that bloated, outdated business model, and jumped on the bandwagon to save a fortune (and make one).

Trying to argue here gets you no bonus points.

The only mag I get now is the one from Hagerty, it is interesting enough for me to read because I dig classic cars, it is a little euro-car heavy.
I will defend roadkill and roadkill garage and hotrod garage.
