I was just replying to another thread and remembering how fustrating it is to go to the parts stores like Autozone and Advanced and they NEVER have parts for our cars in stock, and when they do have it, it's like double the cost of the same part on a Fox.

So, let's make a list of all the parts you can get that are for Foxes but work on our cars. This can save a ton of money and headaches for people having to wait while their parts are ordered.

I'll start with what I remember:

Flywheel
Clutch kit
Clutch cable
Motor Mounts
Trans mount

There's a ton more I just can't remember at this second. Please add to the list if you think of some parts that interchange.

Evidently it matters to the stores' computers. They always seem to have Fox parts on hand, but nothing for our cars. I'm trying to make it easier. Say a guy goes into an Autozone for a clutch kit, it will almost 100% of the time be out of stock and about 160 bucks. The exact same Valeo clutch kit for a 93 5.0 is about 129.00 and in stock. And it has the same bloody components!

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

The clutch is identical. I don't think your autoparts guy knows how to use the computer.

The shocks/struts are not identical. The Fox's are shorter. You can use them on a lowered 94-95, but dont think they are the same.
