Interested in a set of 17X9 (+24) fronts and 17X10 (+20) rears. Have a 1989 Stock GT Mustang. Will these rims fit? What will I have to upgrade (except for 5 lug)? I am looking at the Saleen style ZR wheel offered from Cruzin concepts wholesale or performanceautosport.com! Really looking for some pics too! Any pics you could send me would be great.

With that type of offset on the front you will have to run 94-95 or 96-04 spindles. 96-04 spindles will work best with that offset. Run a 255-40-17 tire up front and you'll be good. No rubbing on turns and no sticking out past fender.

With that type of offset on the rear you better plan on running the stock fox length axles for 5 lug. If you ran a 17X10 with 94-98 axles you better get a +45mm offset and it may stick out past the quarter or be right at the edge. Either way, you better roll the fender lips. My 17X9's with +24mm offset and 275's are right out at the edge.

I was kinda hoping to stay with a 225 up front (17x9) and at the most 255 rear 917x10). Is that possible without issues? I wasn't planning on doing anything other than a motorsport 5 lug disc conversion.

225's on a 9 inch wheel is a no-no.

255's on a 10 inch wheel is a no-no.

They aren't wide enough man. It would look really really stupid. Plus it's not even safe.

Go with 255's up front and 295 or 315 out back.

Okay okay okay...I got it! I am used to the 225 fronts and 245 rears I have now on stock 16" pony wheels. So you're saying that with that other configuration on the 17" I will be safe with that width with just the motorsport 5 lug conversion upgrade? It won't stick out too far...have that goofy look to it...I would really love to see some pics if anyone has a similar setup! thanks

Thanks, years of sweat, busted knuckles, mod after mod, change this, change that and it's finally done. If only I can get my 86 coupe looking as good I will be thrilled!

245/45/17's on 17x9's up front...had to install rack limiters to prevent rubbing at full-lock.

275/40/17's on 17x10's out back...had to remove quad shocks and that's it. i rolled the lips too, but it wasn't required.

Wow...that sure looks good. I think I am going to pull the trigger on a chrome 5-lug setup. sure looks like a lot of rubber on the rear tires!...I like it.
