Buddy of mine totalled his 89 GT awhile back. Motor had 90k on it and it ran like a champ. I was thinking about offering him some cash for it if I can make it work. Anyway I can use the block/heads ect. I'm sure I willhave to change my intake and accessories but with the block itself work.

Sorry for the stupid questions. I'm used to Chevy's. Everything interchanges on a chevy. Just making sure I don't buy a block for nothing.

Yep, block and heads will work just fine. Use the 95 accessories, sensors, egr, etc for simplicity.

pull out your stock longblock

remove brackets

put 94-95 brackets on the 89

drop in 89 longblock.

plug the lower intake ACT sensor hole.

either
A) do a fox tbody swap

B) leave off the fox upper and put on the 94-95 upper

start up and have forged pistons.

Should be easy enough.

Next question...anyways I could run the fox intake setup and not have to use that stupid elbow that comes off the intake?

I'm wanting the forged pistons because I plan on a small shot of n2o.

Dont believe the hyp about the hyper pistons. They will handle 125shot with no issues...I have known people who ran a 150 shot on hypers with no issues after dozens of bottles. Its stilll good to know if you have forged though...

Do a search on the t-body swap and you will find a TON if info...its just easier to search than type.

Thanks man.

I am not sure exactly what my motor is out of honestly. It is from a f150 I was told. Dad had it installed a couple years ago. It supposedly has a e303 cam also...but I have no idea for sure.

If I get a fox motor at least I would know what I had for sure.

One important thing to remember is, the Fox Body waterpump, timing cover and crank pulley are all different. You'll need to swap your 94/95 stuff on. And while you're in there, look at the end of the cam (on the timing cover side) If it has the mechanical fuel pump drive on it, REMOVE IT!!!! VERRY IMPORTANT. It's one bolt. If you don't remove it, you'll basically toast the whole engine/heads.

With that said, it's an easy swap, and it's worth it.

I did the Fox TB swap. If you need the instructions and part list PM me and I'll send it to you. Good luck with whatever course you choose!
