I run a set of 70/30 struts and 50/50 shocks on the street in my 93 and have no problems as of yet.

70/30s are not to bad on the street, but ditching the nittos and go for real drag tires will make a lot more difference. I have run a 13.25@101 with a 1.8 60 ft time on a Hoosier Quick Time Pros and that is it, not control arms, no springs, no nothing other than stock. That's a .3-.4 in just the 60 over your times. Not to mention its a hell of a lot of fun dropping the clutch at 4500 rpms. Once I get a suspension in my car I'll be upping those rpms. With that mph you should run easy low 12.8s high 12.7s

Strange makes struts and shocks that are 10 way adjustable. They arent very expensive either. So I would look in them.
