I will be running 18x9/10 Bullitts on my 89. I have Saleen springs, and it puts the top of a 245/45/17 tire maybe a 1/2"-3/4" from the fender (front). The 245/45/17s rub on the wiring I have hidden in the fender, and Im sure the 18s are going to be worse.

Ya know the funny thing is now that i'm getting used to seeing 19s and 20s on the '05+ cars, 18s on a Fox don't look too out of place. Personally i like to have some meat on my tires though so 17s are the limit for me....to be honest i love a deep dish 16'' with some fat tires on'em, but they've gotta have a good dish to them (Ponys just don't have the effect i'm talking about).

I know whatcha mean, but the 18's im putting on there are just going to be my "nice" wheels. ill get a set of welds like yours eventually to go to the track on.

Ouch, that might be an issue. i was thinking about either doing all 4 as 235/40/18's so i could rotate them if needed, or doing 235's up front and 245's out back... whatcha think?

If your car is 91+ you shouldn't rub too much. If it's 79-90 I don't see how in the world they would fit... I know a couple of guys on this thread have done it but they HAVE to rub.

I'd definately stick with 18x8 up front. That will decreas rubbing. I need to switch to 17x8 from 17x9 on the front of mine

PS: No matter what they are as mentioned they will always rub on the well closest to the driver. Where the brake line and everything is.

Its a 91. The rims i bought are 18x8's all the way around, im just trying to decide on tire size for them. id rather have them a little smaller to decrease the rubbing issue.

That should work

I dunno how you'll lower the car without rolling the wells

PS: Don't go with faulkin. The sidewalls are crap.

Mine's an '89 and doesn't rub at all with the 235/40/18 on 18x8 with 25mm offset. It rubbed like crazy with a 245/45/17 on 17x9 with 24mm offset.

The back should clear, but you may need to flip the quads. I did, but I'm running a 275/35 on 18x9..

Good Luck!
