Hey guys, so i wanted to get some new wheels for the stang. Some 18x9 and 18x10" FR500 Hypercoated Wheels from mustangtuning.com. I was wondering how hypercoated wheels were? Anyone have any? or anyone have any of THESE wheels?

View attachment 447080

I've heard of some BBS wheels pealing after a while and was wondering if all hypercoated wheels are like that, or if that is just that black-chrome BBS wheels that have that problem.

I'm done with chrome wheels as they are too hard to maintain and black or silver wheels i dont really care for. So i thought these hypercoated wheels looked awesome.

Anyone have pics of these on their stang?

Here's mine - Anthracite

Here is someone else's car(Hypercoated wheels) that I saved the pictures of when I was looking to purchase either Hypercoated or Anthracite. Looks great either way.

hmm thanks yeah those are great. My car's black but i get the idea. Keep the pics comign though.

And how do they hold up in the winter? Do these wheels peel at all like those BBS wheels, or pit like chrome?

Dont have my stockers, traded them for the wheels i have now. And as you might imagine, it was worth it. But now i want some all-season wheels cause i hate the chrome. Maybe i'll buy some cheap winter wheels and save buying new nice wheels for next summer. I dont know

Just wanted to know what people thought of these wheels though

I'm done with chrome. While black cars with chrome wheels look AMAZING. Its too hard to maintain, i HATE cleaning wheels for some reason. And they pit in the winters. I really cant afford 2 sets of wheels and tires

I like the wheels, but I'm curious whether or not the original pony or cobra center caps will fit them...anyone?
