Somewhere
I am planning on some Hypercoated FR500's. Well I plan on running a 275/40 tire all the way around. Should I still get the 10" wide wheel on the back or just get 9" all around? Will a 275 fit right on a 10" wide wheel? If so then I might as well get then incase I ever wanna run 315's or something because they are only $10 more for the 10" vs the 9".

Another question. Would you stay with a 17" wheel for weight and price of tires and wheels or go 18"? Is the only advantage of the 18's is a little better look? Thanks!

Then I think that I should do 9" all around then. I think 275's are plenty beefy. Plus I could still rotate them. Now it is just a matter of 17s or 18s...I think I will probably get 18s but the 17s would be better for performance right?

Staggered looks better. The only way 18x9's look good on the rear of an SN95, is if you get wheel spacers. It does get pricey once you start lookin at 295's & up though. 275's only look beefy on Fox & classic stangs imo.

i think you should go staggered as well. i mean, why limit yourself?

i think in the end after wheels and tires are combined between staggered and standard, you spend 130$ more for a staggered look. you get better performance, better launches. KDW2's last a long time if the car is not a commuter(1+hr of driving a day=commuter), besides, you shouldnt use a mustang for a commuter anyways.

I got black fr500. 18 x 9 front and 18 x 10 back. BFG g-Force™ T/A® KDW 275-35-18 front and 295-35-18 back. Love the way my car looks. Black on black

How much does this setup throw your speedo off?

I only drive my car anywhere from 60-80 miles per week including cruising and stuff so they should last a LONG time then....:D Those KDW2's are sexy!

EDIT: I did the tire calculator thing and it said the 275/35/18 would be .4% too fast and the 295/35/18's would be 1.7& too slow so would it be a total of 1.3% too slow on the speedo?

staggered is the way to go!

As far as if you should go stagered or not depends on how much drive it and if you want to rotate the tires. I have 285 Nitto's on 18x9.5 wheels all the way around. It looks great, handles very well and I can still rotate the tires. It's also a dd with 98K on it, so It really pays to be able to rotate. That being said, I really dig the stagered look, just not practical for us. Just my opinion.

I have the 18x9" front and 18x10" rear FR500 hypercoated wheels. Love the, look very nice. Paint is very thin however, be careful putting the tire on them if you do it yourself. I scratched the paint on one of my wheels putting the tires on my wheels, the paint is very cheap and fragile. =) but they look great and are VERY easy to clean.

If you get the 9" make sure you put nothing less than a 275 on there, and if you go 10" make sure nothing less than a 295 is on there. Those are PERFECT fits for those wheels. Dont let anyone tell you differently. any less and the tire will be stretching the sidewall to fit

I don't think my speedo are way off, can't even tell. And this kdw are awesome in dry or wet .
