Friend might be getting a mustang--lookin for info.

He said its a white 1996 with a 5.8 or 5.9 in it. i looked up to see if i cant find anything and i found out that the 95 cobra R had a 5.8 in it. is there any sort of emblems or anything i can tell him too look for to verify if it is a 95 cobra R or is there some other production model that i dont know about? thanks guys.

I dunno, checking the VIN code would probably be your best bet.

Probably an engine swap if it is a 5.8. No 96's came with anything other than a 4.6.

no i havnet talked to him hes been busy with work

he said he thinks its a 96 and its white and i read that the 95 r only comes in white with the same engine so i just assumed that he mixed up the years kus the cars probably look fairly the same. as soon as i find out ill tell you guys. i hope he gets it because itll look nice in the garage next to his dads 65 mustang.

ya, there was nothing offered besides the 4.6L in 96, unless the person selling the car did a motor swap. keep us updated though! it does sound like he has it confused with the 95 Cobra 'R'

pretty good link. I wonder why they didnt include much info about the 93 Cobra 'R'?? they went into the specs of the 95 and 00 'R', but not the 93

if it's a 95 it could have a 5.0 with a stroker kit on it.

GTS is what the GT with 5.0 are called.
