I'm a new 99 GT owner looking for the best way to remove my front door panels to install replacement speakers. I'm putting in the Infinity 6800cs component system-it should ROCK! Any help is appreciated-thx in advance!

If I can remember, There is a screw under the cap where the inside door handle is and two screws at the bottom of the door. Just pop off the plastic cap where you open the door from inside and you should see it. Also remove the cap on your mach460 dooe speakers on the top. I did not do this and tore my leather when putting the door back on.

I forgot about the plastic tabs on the inside of the door by the hinges. Take care when removing bc u will have to reuse these.

Do you have the Mach 460? If you do, are you planning on changing out the amps/head unit as well?

If you have the Mach 460 and you're looking at just replacing the speakers I'd post in the Sound & Shine to get some thoughts on compatibility. I went through the same experience - changed out just the speakers and it was terrible - the amps from the Mach 460 are not compatible with most aftermarket speakers, I believe.

Just a heads up before you get to it.
