Front sway bar removal? How does it handle?

^ Like a minivan on RAILS. LOL j/k :D

Remove for drag strip use only...or be VERY VERY careful on the street if you run without it. It's sorta like running a worn out set of drag radials in rain/wet weather on public roads - potential train wreck waiting to happen.

YMMV

It honestly does not make a very big difference in our cars. You feel the car roll a little more but it's nothing unpredictable and after a while you don't notice it until you reconnect the bar.

It definitely doesn't pitch and roll like a van or SUV, lol. Now my JEEP on the other hand... mother of God, taking any type of corner over 1mph almost turned into a three wheeled affair, lol.

I've never had the sway bar off my 97, but it isn't that noticible on the 88 stang. Sure, you get a little more body roll, but I wouldn't call it dangerous by any means. The biggest danger is that it takes an extra moment for you to feel what the car is doing without a sway bar. Your car just doesn't respond to the steering input as quickly, thus you could find yourself over correcting or giving too much input easily.

its not even noticable, i even ditced my rear too!

That's because you're too busy flying down the track in a strait line:lol:

Every mustang that I owned, I took it off, but it was very noticable for me. If you need to take a sharp turn, like if a car is coming up on you quickly, you will notice the car roll a lot more.

I had mine off of the 98 and I wouldn't say it was a night & day difference  You could tell it was "different" but I honestly think if you put someone that didn't drive the car on a regular basis, they wouldn't mention it.

the only issue with removing the front sway bar is in loose conditions. what you are doing is putting increased cornering forces on the rear tires. if the back end ever gets loose and the tires are the same size front and rear, the car will loop uncontrollably.

i have 165r-15 in front and 295-15's in back. no worries for me, but if they were the same and i get into rain on an offramp, things could happen.
