Front Wheel Spacers with Stock Studs

The offset on my wheels is 35mm so they're tucked too far in and rub on the front sway bar before I hit full lock on the steering wheel. Question is, what is the thickest wheel spacer I can use with stock studs?

1/4" is about the max I would go....anymore and you wont have but 3 threads the nut will grab...not good.
I run 1/4" with the stocks and get 7-8 threads...acceptable per MM...6 is the min.

Why are you running front spacers? Are they functional or just cosmetic?
