Best thing is to try a used driveshaft on ebay. The cost of aluminum driveshafts has gone sky high. It used to cost $159 new, but now its more like $249 new.

I took a tranny input and a length measurement to a local driveshaft shop for my brother and they made an aluminum driveshaft for $150 including new universals. I'm near Rochester, N.Y.

I had a new tube bent for my stocker...then it was Tig welded and balanced with new u joints...total was about 100 bucks. Honestly with the cost of aluminum these days i couldnt justify paying for an AL driveshaft thats only a little bit lighter than a well made/balanced stocker. just another option to consider

I found a web site that was offering it for $189.00 so I called summit Racing and they said they would do it for $188.00 plus $8.95 handling fee as they say they don't charge for shipping.

Honestly the difference between the stocker and the aluminum one are SEVERAL pounds apart.

It really is hard to get a good deal on them anymore though. I too got mine when I heard in advance about the price hike for a nice $165 shipped.
