FRPP "C" Springs

aybody running these or the "B" springs from Ford? wondering how you like them? how much did it actually drop the car? that sort of thing. i have to replace struts and shocks already, so figured since i had it apart, might as well change springs too? i don't want it slammed, and i don't want to invest a lot of money in it either. it's just a beater, but all cars look better lowered. anyone with pics, post them up, i'd like to see them. by the way, i would be installing them on a full weight 1991 5.0 hatch with an AOD, so the car is heavy...thanks

I run the C springs. I like the amount it dropped the front, maybe an inch and a half, but the rear is really kinda jacked up. I reused the isolators and whatnot, but yeah... the rear end is kinda high. Ride is good, though! I went from stock crap w/ 125k to the C springs and new Monroe shocks all around and wow what a difference. I'll get a pic tonight if I'm down by the car.

i just bought new monroe struts/shocks too, the cheapest ones i could get, my factory ones are slap wore out, 176K on them...yeah, i'd like to see some pics...say it dropped the front 1 1/2" about???

My C springs dropped about a 3/4 inch at most. After aluminium heads I think the front came up a tad too.

Bullitt Springs dropped my car roughly an inch up front.

I have "c" springs. Click on the link to see how it sits. I installed new iso's top and bottom. The rear sat too high when i installed them. Instaed of removing iso's I cut one full coil off the rears and it dropped to my like liking. The c springs feel really solid. I like them a lot.

That's without cylinder heads, smog, PS, AC and all intake stuff. Fully loaded it brings the nose a little bit down. The pic is bad, though you can't really tell but whatever, lol.
Before the spring install, the car looked like it was permanently launching. Very lame. 1 1/2" may be a bit high of an estimate, but it went from having nose higher than rear to having rear higher than nose, lol.

Kumm3- did you cut the rears springs or leave them like they came? the front of my car sits really high now, maybe an inch or so higher than the rear, so if the front is lower when i am done, i will be ok with that, i like a little rake myself...

Huh? From what? That's not from OEM springs! The "C" springs drop ~1.5" from stock OEM springs on a stock GT/LX.

my c springs

droped maybe 1.25 inches and re used old isolators.. back to me was fine.. little harsh on the ride tho.. i think i would of liked "B" better

They are unmodified, using all the stock isolaters.

Here's mine with B springs:

The back defniitely sits higher than the front like other people have said.

The B springs ride pretty well. I was expecting them to be stiffer. I bought B's because I wanted my car to handle like my last 5.0 (which I THOUGHT had B's), but the B's in my current car ride a lot softer than the springs in my old car, so the old one must not have had B's after all.

The B springs are a pretty good comprimise, they definitely aren't too stiff.

^ good question. im thinking of lowering my car here pretty soon, but i actually want a slight rake in the front.

If I went with B springs, I could re-use all my old stock stuff, (direct fitment and no new CC plates.) ??

you dont need cc plates for frpp springs.

mine is pretty lightwieght up front in those pics.

Aluminum heads, battery in back, spyder intake which is a little lighter than stock style ones.

the rear is pretty light too, no sound deadening, spare tire, jack, rear seats or brackets.

tell that to my wallet and the new BFGs I completely shredded. You very well may need them.

They slammed the front compared to the back which barely dropped. i actually took out all the rear isolators so it would kinda even out better.
