Anybody know anything about this kit?

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=5740

Seems like a good deal for $500.

I figure it will be time for shocks and struts next year, so I'm starting to look around. I know you can get the Bilstein set for around that price too, but this is a whole package and does lower the car a little bit.

Also, anybody know what a good shop would charge to install the kit?

I don't know what you want out of your spring package(drag or corner carver) but Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords did an article on these Tokico D spec springs that are adjustable. You can run them at drag adjustment and then dial them back out for the road.

Here's the article http://musclemustangfastfords.com/tech/mmfp_0510_tokicos/

and here's one place that has the kit. There's probably other places out there so you may be able to find a lower price http://www.speedaction.net/dsp-4-h24.html

Not looking for drag or auto-cross suspension. This is my daily driver. Just thinking that when the times comes to replace what I got, it might be cool to upgrade a little.

Thanks for the link Tom. :nice:

You can easily, EASILY install that yourself. Also, I think you can get the kit for as low as $369 if you shop around. I think that kit is a great choice :nice:
I thought you had to have special tools to install new springs. Also, wouldn't this be hard to do without a lift? Doesn't the car need an alignment after installing all that junk?

The Haynes manual will show you how to do it all.

You will probably need an alignment and if you have not had one in a while it cannot hurt...

I did my shocks and struts and I did not need an alignment.

You will not believe how easy the rear shocks are! :nice:

it's easy to do without a lift, just be careful about the decompression of the springs, take your time dropping the control arms down.

and it should be mandatory to get an alignment after working with the front suspension. I think there's a link in the bullittarchive about the install.

+1 you can get seriously hurt if you aren't careful here.
