FRPP X Pipe?

I'm currently running the Ford racing X pipe....sound wise It's great...I'm running it with Corsa mufflers and it's a nice combo. Quality wise I would have to say it's not the best out there. (you get what you pay for) When I received mine, the bends were not exactly right. The exit out of the X wasn't straight, so the pipes didn't line up staight. Made using the clamps a real pain, because they slide over each pipe. Plus, the ford racing X pipe ends were slightly smaller then the stock pipes. I know they are suppossed to be the same size, but it's as if the ford X pipe was pinched or slightly crimped when they made the pipe. Long story short, the clamps bottomed out before making a good tight seal around the pipe. I had to go to Pep Boys and buy two 2 1/2" bushings to take up the slack. All in all a pain in the ass for a supposed simple mod.

How much sound difference do you get with stock mufflers, when you switch to the Ford Racing X-Pipe? I'm just looking for something to improve the sound some, but not kill my wallet.

Here is mine when I was running the Pypes O/R H pipe with the factory mufflers. That you can get away with for no more than $175!

It is NOTHING like the Flowmaster & O/R H combo however!!!!! I will be taking some video clips of that combo hopefully tomorrow and posting them by Monday.

I have the Ford Racing intake/tune, Ford Racing X pipe and Ford Racing Stinger Style axel backs...As far as sound its definately louder than with just the Stinger mufflers and stock H. However it is not as deep and muscley....it has a sound like a race car at WOT but clean and crisp....I will post clips in a couple of days...just bought a new cam...be patient.
