FS: 1988 LX Hatchback
For sale is my blue 88 Lx Hatchback. I bought the car in April 2010 from a Ford mechanic. The car has been garage kept from the previous owner and I. The body has 97k and the motor was built in 2010 at 91k miles. Since purchasing the car I have not driven it much. The reason I am selling is to fund a build on my 2011 GT. The car is in great condition and appears stock except for the hood and way it sounds. I had the car tuned up/checked (plugs, wires, oil change, new battery) by my local performance shop since purchasing. The interior remains stock aside from an in dash auto meter gauge bezel (temp,oil pressure). The paint is in good condition without rust has minor blemishes considering the car is an 88 but still shines. Overall the car is very clean and well taken care of. The motor was built for nitrous and has a plate installed. If I were to keep the car I would upgrade the injectors, cam, intake to make more power plus get the car professionally tuned. The car is great for cruising or if you want to take it to the track that is what it was built for. The car is currently being stored in Naperville/Aurora IL area. I live in Chicago, I have some basic pictures and can send to serious inquiries. I included a link from the chicagoland mustang site from when I first purchased the car. I do have to sell the car and was hoping to sell to a friend but he just cant come up the funds. The car does not disappoint. I want to be up front, I do NOT have paperwork on the build. I had it, moved twice, and I am currently looking. However, I do have the contact with the original owner who built the car. The level of work can be seen by looking and inspecting the car for yourself. Either you like it or you do not. Please only serious inquiries. I do not want to waste your time or mine. Its a great car and I have the title in hand. I listed mods of what I could think of off the top of my head. The price I am asking is $8500 obo. I am willing to negotiate.
