Yesterday I replaced my gas tank because it was leaking and unfixable for an epoxy. Everything went pretty smoothly until today when I was driving home. I started to hear a buzzing noise coming from my fuel pump that kept getting louder and louder.
Then..... at about 2200 rpm's in 2nd gear the pump was cutting out and stopped dumping fuel into the system. It doesn't do this in first gear for some reason, just in second.
I have another fuel pump from the tank i replaced it with but not sure what mustang model it came off of or if I can even use it. The part number is 96 5262, or F2 09350. (Its used)
I dont really have an issue with replacing the fuel pump but if anyone knows why its cutting out at 2200 rpm's or how to fix it, advice would be appreciated. Thanks
