Fuel pump question

Good evening all,

My fuel pump has gotten very loud in the last week. I have been told this is a sign that it is fatigued.
I am thinking of a walbro 255 pump. Stock everything else.
I am sure someone out there can tell me wether or not this pump would overpower the stock fuel system if that is possible?

Any comments, oppinions would be appreciated.

If you have too big of a fuel pump like a 255 then from what i have heard it will actually heat up the fuel from just pumping the fuel back and fourth from the engine to the tank and back to the engine. Just my thoughts.
