I have a 1990 LX hatch with a 5.0 and a 5-speed: the clock reads just over 150XXX miles. I'm wonder what everyone thinks, and what I should or shouldn't do.

I plan on boring my stock block to 306 CI, putting either GT-40 or Twisted Wedge heads, a decent cam, and put a 1.7 L Kenny Bell blower with a flowzilla kit, stronger clutch, flywheel, bigger injectors, fuel pump ect.

Other than the lifters, rockers, pushrods, valve springs, and what not, are there any major or big parts that I need to get to make that setup work well. I plan on having it for 'almost' daily driver. Split the week or so with my stock '98 civic.

What do yall think that power and times might be with that?

Honeslty, with those mods you should see near 400RWHP depending on the amount of boost you'll be pushing. Read my sig, and I barely spent anything because I went with a carb. Easier to work on... :D

Ok, balance, and rebuild the engine while having it bored over. Should I swap to a forged crank or will the stocker hold up? Of course get a tune, fuel system, new oil pump. Would I need to get a new oil pan as well? What ignition do yall reccomend? Or is that a better question for the KB guys? On the drivetrain side of things...would it beneficail to swap to 31 spline rear axles or a 5-lug set up? Tranny wise, a TKO, or just a world class T-5?

Don't get ahead of yourself. Have you added up what all that will cost? What does your budget look like? How do they compare? If you want to run a blower and pack in the boost, your going to need a stronger block, much larger heads, intake, exaust, forged internals, this will cost some serous money. Then you need a drivatrain that will hold this and a suspension to get it to the ground. You will need upgrades fuel, suspensiong.... I could go on and on. People get these dreams about having this small list of mods with a small price tag and expect to be running with the big boys, well, it ain't that easy, and it's not anywhere cheap. Then again, you can still build one fast car for not too much money. Before you sign your engine's death warrant first check the compression and leakdown. Go from there.

I never said anything about budget, but I do have some time to build. I know everything is expensive, and I don't expect to 'run with the big dogs'. After this is done, the car is done. I just want to get the block bored, or bore a different block if compresion isn't up to par, bolt some heads on, and throw the blower on top...oh yeah and the 3 grand in misc. and fuel parts.
