Future of the Mustang Survey from Ford

Trick question.

i think question 11 is a trick question. it asks for a 370hp engine with 17/23 for $1000 option, or 19/25 for the same $1000 option. must be a V6 or V8 with same output, different mileage. both had same 0-60 times.

edit: yep, they made that clear in step 12 and 13.

It looks like the market researchers are looking for reasons to kill off the V8.

I had a 2000 V6 and sadly, one of the main reasons I traded it in was because I hated the sound of the engine. I know its different but the sound reminded me of my uncle's 1961 Falcon Station Wagon.

It's nothing but an 8 for me while they're still available.

The Mustang platform has virtually nothing in common with the Jag S-type.

The Jag's all aluminum and very expensive IRS will not drop in a Mustang.

Thanks for that. :nice:

It's often been reported that the platform is the same but I've just had a read-up and indeed, the original plan was to use the same platform but in the end it got it's own. In that case, I just hope they develop a proper IRS and not a bad one like the last Cobra.:nono:
