these things look pretty cool, and they seem to work decent from the videos i see online.

kinda skeptical because they are getting all of the information from your ciggerette lighter though.

If you correctly calibrate your vehicles weight, they can work well. A friend had a 04 Mach 1 and with the correct weight (with him in it) the times it gave we within a tenth of a second to Bradenton's official timer.

I had one, got me into so trouble trying to do the quarter mile in my truck (wouldn't you know there was a cop that had me on radar right at the end of it)... I sold it after that... but the Gtech said 86 MPH and the cop said 86MPH...

Here's the specs from the best run I've had. My first couple runs were about 15.5 seconds. I have a stock 5.0, KN Filter, 3.27 Factory lockers
0-60 6.64
1/4 Mile 14.93@97.0mph
166hp
228 ft lbs
.63 g's

I had a friend with me and I just weighed my car on a scale today and found I was about 300 lbs low for what I calibrated on the gtech. Not sure how it would affect the numbers with the change in calibration.
