Gas pedal stiff and cant chirp threw gears...

well i installed a BBK twin 65mm thorttle body on my 99 cobra and the gas pedal is really stiff and i cant chirp threw the gears anymore...anyone had this problem? the TPS is fine everything is plugged in correctly i cant seem to figure out what is wrong...does it have to break in? please help! thanks -Jeff

i'm willing to bet it's not chirping the tires anymore cause it's fuggin cold now. dont' worry about that, as long as everything is on right & the line isn't hitting anything, then you're ok

check the cable line where it hooks up to the TB, you might have some boogers in there or something

are you sure your tires arent just spinning? streetstang, i would imagine his cobra must have been fixed bc he ran a 13.8 stock on steet tires

yeah but 99-02 have ran 13.6 at max, i've seen

yeah, im not that good with cobra specs... but i guess a 13.8 stock is still pretty respectable for an N/A cobra. oh btw, how much hp does the '02 cobra have?

same as the 01's just have a wheel conversion and more lights

yes my car has had the fix...and i got them chirping again its jut hard cuz the gas pedal was tiff and i wasnt used to it, but he it does make a bad ass sound when it sucks in the air! haha

yea the gas pedal is way too stiff so i think im goin to try bending the part where the spring attaches to so the pedal wont be stiff, when i get to it il let u guys know...thnaks

65mm TB sounds kinda small.... then again we dont have the same car... but we upgrade to 70-75mm and it looks like u might be restricting the airflow?!? dunno lol im drunk

i thought the cobras had dual throttle bodies or something liek that?

yea all the cobra's from 96up had twin 57mm tb, its more like an aoval shape to it.
