Is there a gasket for the oil pump-to-block connection on a 94GT? I asked for one at my local dealer and he told me that it didn't show one, so it doesn't use one. Is this correct? I asked in the FOX fourm, and got mixed answers- some said yes, some said no. Perhaps in 94, Ford decided that it doesn't need one. Anyone have theirs apart?

Common sense makes me want to put a gasket on there, but if Ford didn't there may be a good reason why. Even if it leaks, that's no big deal, I guess.

just looked thru my Ford CD manual...there is no gasket for the pump itself to the block...There IS a gasket where the oil tube connects to the pump....

7.00 CD comes in handy.... :D

yes it is and its the same has the pump to tube it should have came with the oil pump if not just make one out of gasket material. believe me if there is and crack between the pump and block oil pressure will suffer

I got a M-6600-M50 standard production pump and it came with 1 gasket. That gasket looks identical to the gasket I got from the dealer for the pickup-to-pump. That gasket doesn't have the same shape as the oil pump where it contacts the block, but does fit the holes (as well as the holes for the pickup). However, it also doesn't have the same shape as the pickup to pump connection. Perhaps that gasket is intended to be used with the pickup and not the block? My CD doesn't show one, either...

Has anyone actually pulled off their pump and seen if there was a gasket there?
