So I want to add a few gauges where should I put them?
Opinions??
If I'm doing two what two should I do??
Was thinking oil temp and ??
Pictures of your set ups would be cool.

thanks

Not sure why you'd need oil temp. Oil pressure and water temp are usually good choices. Are your stockers working? I decided I didn't like everyone seeing the gauges so I put them low, above the radio. One gauge in the left hand vent.

Oil Pressure, Water Temp.

Oil temp isn't one i would rank up there with the much needed gauges....esp if you have a stockish motor. Now if you had a oil pan fed supercharger, then i might see the need for one.

A-Pillar pod with oil pressure and water temp, those are the two things you'll want to monitor the most, and the two factory gauges that suck the most (although, to be fair, they all suck pretty hard)...

you don't need an oil temp gauge unless you're running a supercharger or a turbo (or two)

I like the setup below the radio. Mine currently has an a-pod and gauges in the vent location. I have oil pressure, water temp, fuel pressure, and boost. Seems weird to have the boost gauge since I'm NA, but it measures vacuum pressure which is helpful.

Below the radio is ok and definitely the cleanest/least conspicuous (which is why I chose it), but the shifter can get in the way when you're in 1st and 3rd...plus it takes longer to check them.

But do you really ever check your gauges while in 1st or 3rd? I normally only check them if I'm cruising in 4th or 5th - or if I'm at a stoplight.

Have you thought about getting an autometer guage cage where the vents go? pretty easy setup, clean, it looks like the car was meant to have guages there.

heres myne.

Water Temp and Oil pressure is what you need, those two guages are THE MOST IMPORTANT to your engine, and the stock stuff is two steps from being usless.

That depends on what gauges you are looking at. I find myself peaking over at my AFR and coolant gauge mostly in 3rd and 4th under WOT as those seem to be the most critical times.

How is the install for the gauges in the vent location?
Were can I get one of those?

it seems like you're bent on getting gauges that won't help you monitor the health of your engine at all, you don't need a "d-pic" or an oil temp... about 10 guys on here including myself have told you the smartest and most effective ones to get to replace the stock crap, but it's your car, do as you please...
