Gay idle!

At the moment that my engine comes hot,(after 10min of utilisation) and that I'm stop at a circulation light, my idle start to be gay and goes up and down for 30 sec and then the car stalls. After that I have to keep a foot on gas or it will stall again and again until the light turn green.

what could be the problem?

Most cars that Ive seen when the TPS is out the idel just drops then goes back up....but to be sure unhook the TPS and see, could be that the TB is gumed up bad air flow, or a bad valve....

just a bunch of suggestions to look at.

It will sit at a slightly higher idle st all times....on most cars that is....on some it wont run at all

Close but no cigar!

TPS is the throttle position sensor, Dont unplug it

T3AL what your refering to is the IAC , idle air control.

IAC...

I have the turbo wiring setup.. :S and doesn't have the IAC anymore, at least, it's unplugged.. with the '86 EEC-IV

Well that's probably your problem...turbo engines/wiring still use the IAC...
