gear installation question

i am about to puirchase a set of 4.10s for my gt. I see that is says for another 90 bucks to add the master bearing kit....now is this also considered an installation kit or is the install kit something different?

I bought the master bearing kit with my gear swap. It comes with the pinion and carrier bearings. I think the pinion bearing always gets changed, but the carrier bearings are optional. My car had 42K and my carrier bearings were shot. The bearing housing was starting to pit.

That is the installation kit. I'd get it, because you don't want to be in the middle of the swap only to find out you have a shot bearing or destroy one when you're pulling it off. I'd rather have too much than not enough when I install gears. That's one place I don't mind having extra parts.
