I have 1972 351C 2bb stock just dropped in a 1985 WC V8 T5 my current axle ratio 2.75 I would like a change, sounds like a 3.73 is a good call but can I change to a 4.11?

How do you plan on driving it? If you want a good highway cruiser I'd put some 3:25's or 3:50's, it would still be plenty fast. If you are going to abuse it go with the 4:11's

It is a weekend car, highway driving is not a concern I am worried that the 4.11 in 1st and 2nd gear- too much? I have 2.75 right now I would like to make it worth my while to change to say 3.73-4.11

I'd go with the 3.55.....I say this only if you have a traction problem, because when you dump the clutch an anything higher it will just mean more spinning and more stress on your tranny. With 4.11's first gear would be nearly useless. 3.55 you will have good street manners, mileage, and cruisability. But if you are bent on 3.73 or 4.11, I would go 3.73....thats just my opinion, hope it helps.

In my '84 I swapped my 3.08 gears out for 3.45 gears, which work well with the T5, but 3.73 gears would be a good call too!

I have 3.80's with mine and my buddy has 4.11's in his Falcon, still driveable on the freeway at 80 mph with either ratio
