Hey guys,
i got a 94 gt auto last month. i was wondering about putting new gears in. first of all i would like some advice on the ratio to go with. ive heard 3.73 or 4.10 im not really worried about top speed so that is not a factor. i just want t be quicker off the like and in the 0-80mph range mostly street driving. how much will this hurt my gas mileage? and is it worth the money?

thanks, josh

If you drive on the highway very much,or if this is your daily driver i would go with 3.73 otherwise 4.10's are great. but i am conservative when it comes to rear end gears. 94 gt 5 speed with 3.55's . gears are the best bang for the money.

Just do it...

I have a 5-speed... but my factory gear is a 2.73 and i went 3.73, wish I went 4.10 many days... I do 50 miles of highway every day I take the car to work (almost daily this time of year)...

you have like 3.23 stock (due to auto) so go with the 4.10 or 4.56.... 4.10 will be the concensus for auto trans though....

I have 4.10's in mine and love them... Yes, it does kill gas mileage a little and it lowers your top end speed, but it is worth every penny. I'd say it adds about 600-800 RPMs to where you're normally at with the stock gears. [I'm guessing there]

4.10's
