Hey guys i have found a set of edelbrock performers for a good price and theryre local to me which is the good thing. I really dont want to pass these up, since my motor has been sitting for almost a year now waiting for heads. The motor is a 347 mexican stroker. I have the eddy upper and lower and i thought that getting eddy heads would be perfect. now i know these are 2.02/1.60 but theyre only 170cc, are they going to be too small? The cam is a custom nitrous ground, i think its in the area of close to 590./600 lift. I also have a edelbrock nitrous kit that i plan to use to get me into the tens, maybe. Im hoping that with my set up i will be able to hit high 11's on the motor, is this completey out of the question? I figure that if i can do that, than a 100 shot should make me hit the 10 spot, i really wanna get this car together and drive it, so please tell me these heads should suffice. Its an auto car with a 3000 stall non lockup and i will be getting the lentech strip terminator, the manual valvebody.Tube k member and 3.73 rear with a spool, and whatever control arms i buy. the car is also caged so it should be pretty strip ready. thanks guys, sorry for the long post

Save your money bud, get a better suited head for your combo. If you are wanting to run Eddy stuff look into a set of ported rpm's or a box stock set of vic jrs. For the money people are having good luck with the RHS heads, you will want to run at least a 195 runner and maybe even switch out that intake for a better breather. Strokers do not like restrictions.

i know i could do better but i just want to drive my baby, its been so long, lol. does it help that the heads are 700 bux with a set of 1.6 roller rockers, also this is not pedelstal mount they are stud mount .

For that price, I would say get them. You can just put them on for now and later if you want to upgrade you can, but you'll be driving in the meantime. You could also re-sell them when you upgrade for more than what you paid probably. It's not like those heads won't flow well, they do almost twice as good as stock probably. They may not be the optimum head, but I don't think it is going to be some major cork or anything.

If your on a budget, a $700 pair of Edelbrock heads isn't a bad idea.

A guy over in the sn-95 forums, made 347rwhp:), with his 1.9 Edelbrock heads.

Of course, it isn't just the heads that create the power.

If you ever had the dough, I would go with a AFR 205, since you are not running a stock strength block that most are a custom too.
