Hey guys! Hopefully I will get my 4.10's installed this Tuesday. It should be done for around $225. I'm really looking forward to it!

I've got a DiabloSport programmer, so that will make the calibration a snap. It's going to be fun to tweak the car now!

The next thing will be an X pipe of some sort. Right now it's looking like a mustang tuning catted X will be the choice. Hopefully I'll get it on there within a month.

Heh! Yeah, sorry about posting this here... I forgot where I was when I posted! I go all over the place on this forum.

Yeah, so far my mods are in my signature, but I'm looking to add and X pipe next. I think I'll go with a catted one since I don't want to change it out every year. I'd have to get a shop to do it, I don't have the tools to do it myself. Plus I don't know that I'd really want to anyway. But the high-flow cats should be great with the MAC catback I have!

X Pipe with Flows = :notnice:

The only one that sounds good with Flows is the Dr. Gas X pipe.
I had this setup and it screamed.
Unfortunatl, it was a bit loud for me and I was tired of headaches every time I drove so I went back to the stocker H.

Actually, if you hear something other than the BBK xpipe with flows, you would love an x with flows. The UPR and MustangTuning pipes sound absolutely badass with the flows. Get a soundclip.

Well the 4.10s are in! They've got a ton of torque. I can't get on it yet though because of the break in period, which will be over soon (just not soon enough!).

Anyone know how to tune the Diablo so that I can run the Diablo tune, but use 89 octane? I don't want to pay for 93 unless I have to. I do a lot of driving!

BTW, for those who don't know, the Diablo Factory HP Tune has a problem with setting the speedometer settings to the gear ratio. You have to use the Diablo tune until they put out the next revision for it. :( That's why I need to know how to modify the settings so I can use 89 octane.

That should be simply backing off the Spark Advance (timing) until you are not pinging. I'm pretty sure I saw that one was covered in a FAQ on their website.

I'm curious about the settings you have for the Torque Modulation, RPM Shift Points and Shift Pressure. Can you pull those up and post them? The RPM Shift Points should be adjusted for your 4.10s. What are they set to? How are your part-throttle shifts? How are your WOT shifts?

I plan on getting one for Christmas and I really want to know how much improvement you get on the auto trans. :D

Doh! I missed that. When I tried to go to the site it was down. :(

I'm not sure what my RPMs are adjusted to for the 4.10s. I didn't change them, but the Predator may have changed them for me when I picked 4.09 axle ratio.

As far as the other stuff (Torque Mod and shift pressure) I haven't messed with anything but the partial throttle shift pressure, which I set to 20psi on everything. I am going to back the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts off, though. The 4.10s make it shift a little harder by themselves, so 20 on them isn't quite the same as 20psi on the 3.23 gears. I'll probably set it as low as 5psi, maybe even stock, since that is just for everyday gettin' around. I set my 1-2 shift higher because my auto lagged on the 1-2 shift with normal driving. It may not do that with the 4.10s now. I may set all the PSI firmness back to stock and test it out.

The shift firmness for WOT I haven't touched, and I left Torque modulation alone as well.

Well, adjusting the torque mod makes you really feel it when you punch it. I will probably up that to 100% on all gears after I get the 4.10s broken in. I won't adjust the WOT shift firmness until after I try out just the torque modulation by itself. I want to see what a difference it will make stock vs. the 4.10s. Take it in small steps! :nice:
