I'm getting draglite wheels very soon,15x3.5 up front and 15x8 out back. What size tire should i get for the 15x3.5?(skinnies). I'm not sure if I'll get DR's for the back or slicks but If I get DR's what size is good? 245/45/17s? I'm sorta looking for a big tire that'll look good and hook. If I go with slicks, will 26x10 tires be ok? The quad shocks arent an issue, i can remove them.

peace :nice:

:bang: OK, now think about what you just said.................. 15x8" in the back - and you are asking if a 17" tire will work?!?!?!

which one of these should I get?

front:
1. 15"x3.5", 4x4.25-4.5" Bolt Circle, 1.75" Backspace
2. 15"x3.5", 4x130mm Bolt Circle, 1.75" Backspace
3. 15"x3.5", 5x4.5-4.75" Bolt Circle, 1.75" Backspace

rear:
1. 15"x8", 4x4.25-4.5" Bolt Circle, 5.5" Backspace
2. 15"x8", 5x4.5-4.75" Bolt Circle, 5.5" Backspace

I'm running 4 lug right now. This stuff is in chinese, can anyone explain the technical part to me (how the hell do you determine the sizes ect) :)

May or may not be important to you, but Weld lists the 3.5 fronts for track use only, ie, they will not warranty them on the street. So I bought 15x5.5 in for the front, and use 165-15 tires. Has worked great for 3 years.

Back needs more thought. Weld makes a couple different backspacings for 4 lug Mustangs. I got the 15 x7 's that have a 4.5 in backspace (I think).
That car is only going to see 225 or 235 tires so it did not matter.

You probably want the 15 x 8 in wheel, with the 5.5 in backspace, so it will sit in the fender deeper and the tires won't rub the outer fender lip.

Check with Weld or Wells Performance in Jacksonville Fl. They were excellent when I got mine.

one more question. can the D.O.T. ET Drag Tire that MT makes handle street driving? The reason I ask, is the nearest track is about 25miles away and in order to get there i have to take the freeway. Will the DOT rated tire wear more if I were to drive on the street?
