Ok....HERE's the Poop:
The car was in the shop from 8:30A to 11:45A. Fred said that the entire surface which is in contact with the SFC's is prepared before welding. The load is adjusted properly while the SFC's are being fitted and welded. After they are done, they go over and repaint the welded surfaces to prevent rust. (the SFC's are Zinc plated, so they dont have to paint the whole thing)
The first thing I noticed when I left the shop was that the car didnt "rattle like change jingling in your pocket" everytime I hit a bump....it felt really solid.
When I went around some curves on the hwy, I just tried to see if I could feel a difference......I didnt want to just go gunning it around the corners until I got used to it.....seemed pretty effortless going around the curves.
When I got home, I looked under the car and DAMN..... when they say "FULL LENGTH", they really do mean it!!
I have to drive the car a little later, Ill let you know more if I can feel it..
Thanks
RC
PS...see my OIL LEAK post for an update on that (Steeda looked at it for me while up in the air)
