Hey yall.

Been a little while since i been hanging around here but a true stangnetter knows where to go for advice and here i am

Well, my best friend through all my school years just informed me he is getting married and I am going to be the best man. They have been together a long while and have a baby girl together.

Anyways to the plot of this thread, I need ideas on what to do for his stag. I have never had the opportunity to plan a stag before, I have been to a couple and scene plenty go down at the bar and such. Budget isnt huge but ill be splitting it with a couple buds hopefully. I dunno I was thinking kidnap him, I got his girl on my side to set things up there, hes wearing a dress forsure and im thinking duck tape him to a dolly and wheel him around the strip downtown maybe? I dunno what to go with weather its the strip bar or live strippers. rent a hotel room for after maybe? I dunno there not getting married untill august 25 so I have plenty of time to plan this,

Let me hear it i want the ideas, i know its a long ways away but ill be sure to keep ya'll posted, with pics!!!

cheerio my stangnetting fellows.

definitely live strippers if you can afford it, if not then the strip club. make sure you call them in advance and tell them about the party, also pick the classiest place in town to have it

Who are you????

Okay, Josh; let's see what we can build here in the way of adult entertainment for this guy who wants to screw up a great friendship with his girlfriend......

Alcohol is always important, as no man should get married unless it's in the middle of a roaring hangover; so plan the location accordingly. Strippers are almost cliched, but they're still fun; so go for it. I'm going to be so bold as to suggest that the strippers not be also hookers. I've heard of guys meeting their future divorce attorneys on the way back down the aisle; so......
Loud music, booze (I've mentioned it twice so you get more); good cigars and maybe a little food; of course, steaks are always best (gotta stockpile nutrients and energy for the honeymoon ).....

All this being said; I did not get a stag night myself (cheap-a$$ed brother/best man); but it was all good. Mrs StangDreamin' and I were already sharing a house, and she was drinking at the rehearsal dinner (like me); so I pretty much got everything -including a "honeymoon preview"- when we got home

If they are getting married out-of-town, make sure that the location even has strippers or a topless bar. I got married in Maui and only a couple day before the wedding did I realize that this location was "family friendly." Just as good as getting married at Disneyland.

I think the kid took care of that a year ago:Zip2:

as for the hookers, his wife allready gave me a good grilling on the stripper situation, aparently the only one there allowed to touch is me

Im also not allowed to have the stag the night before the wedding because I apparently have a reputation for hangovers and drunk tank expierances spreading to my friends

i gotta embaress him somehow, i was thinking strapping him to a dolly and tieing him to my headache rack and driving downtown a little? of course he will be wearing his dress, Maybe ill get a ball and chain for him to drag around

I need more ideas tho.............

For my stag, some one stole a black bowling ball from the local bowling alley and screwed a huge eye bolt into it. From there, they attached a chain to which the other end of the chain went around my ankle (The Ol ball and chain). To get around, I had to carry it with me all night. The tough thing about carrying around a 16 lbs bowling ball with you all night while drunk is the fact that they made the chain just a little too short to be able to stand up straight

So I spent all night (at bar, in front of a stripper then at local strip bar) holding this ball all night long.

(There also was a blow up doll but that didn't even play into the evening so that is typically a waste of $$$.)

To be honest, this really depends on your buddy. While strippers are a must, some guys just arn't into that stuff and won't really enjoy it. Do what your friend would want to do. While the duct tape to a dolly, and the "ball and chain" may be funny for you guys, will he enjoy it?

Having recently been married, I had the pleasure of my own stag a few weeks ago. Luckily, they only made me wear a white shirt with "Groom" written on the back in bright letters. They brought markers and had all the strippers and any other good looking girl they could find sign the shirt.

1 thing that my best man did was rent a 15 passanger van. We loaded everyone in the van and only needed 1 DD. The van was a great idea, and was cheap once everyone kicked in a few $$ (was less than $20 each for the van rental and gas).

Okay- so I'll say it from the girl perspective... plan his stag a week before the wedding, not the night before. hey get him trashed, throw a party go nuts, but trust me you'll save a seering glaring bride wanting to kill you for her husband to be being hungover during the ceremony.

Oh, BTW somebody tell SVTcobra that this was mentioned later on down the road should a similar conversation ever arise.

Just saying the massive hangover during the ceremony is so 1980-something. Sorry dad just saying...

We had mine 2 weeks before the wedding.

This seemed to work out great as there's alot of last minute stuff the weekend before the wedding. And yeah, you don't want to do it the night before.

The nice part about having it only a day or 2 before the wedding is that your out of town guests can come a day early and also attend the stag. My wife's brother missed out on my stag because he couldn't do all of the travelling.

These days its hard to have a stag the night before because of the rehearsal and reheasal dinner, so you don't hear about this happening very often.

I'll go you one better.
When my brother's friend was getting married, his best man threw him a stag the night before the wedding, got him rip-roaring drunk and put him on a bus to NJ without his wallet, cash, ID, etc., etc................

btw.....he didn't marry that one, for which he's been grateful!

Ya know, if Tink ever decides to get married again; I'm hoping that the best man takes BottleFed's advice for the sake of any males in the bride's family. I oughta get some kind of fun for what that date will probably cost me!
Hmmmmmm, "At the stag party, it was a tossup over who got more ball-peen drunk; the groom or the father of the bride!"

Of course there's always FUZZY's idea..............
