Well, my current stock hood has chips and such... Doesn't look to sexy at all. My father does autobody and painting so I decided to get a new hood.

I think I am going to go with the Cervini's Type IV hood. I was at a car show yesterday and there were a lot of Mustang's including mine. Granted, mine stood out from the stockers, but I want something else that will set me apart from the rest. Most of them all had the factory hood.

I see that on Cervini's site, the hood costs $539.00 plus $110.00 for frieght shipping. I know this is direct from their site - but does anyone else know of a place that sells their stuff cheaper?

Here is a pic of the hood and also a pic of my car. All positive/negative opinions are welcome!

Honestly, I would go directly thru Cervini's. If you don't, and there's a problem, Cervini's will tell you to talk to the retailer, and the retailer will tell you to talk to Cervini's. Also, I don't think you'll find anything a whole lot cheaper than that.

Actually I just bought a new hood for my car off e-bay through Octane Motorsports and I paid 450.00 for the hood and 150.00 for shipping to a residential address, they are located in CA, they have a wide variety of hoods. cheapest I have found so far, and looks like good quality. I will receive it tomorrow, and I will let you know exactly how good of quality they are. I bought the GTS-3 hood.

here is the link to there website.

I did not see the hood you are looking for but, If you call their number they are very freindly and will answer any questions you may have.
They might be getting that hood soon, just ask.

Hope this helps. I will let you know of their quality, they do all of the returns ans customer service for the products they sell.

I thought I remembered hearing a lot of the Cervini's body components you find resold elsewhere are lower quality replicas.

I'm not a huge fan of the hood, but I don't dislike it either. Have you considered a CDC Shaker hood setup?

I already have a Steeda intake with the SCT tune.

If I bought this - I wouldnt utilzie the ram air capablities. I just wanted to post this up before purchasing to make sure it would look OK with my car. I dont have any lower body kit effects (except chin spoiler).

Here are the other two that interested me... They are less aggressive...

67 hood

Ram Air hood

The '67 hood is the one I like. If I ever get a hood, I'll be going with either that one, or the CDC '69 hood Mach 1 style hood with shaker.

Unless you really want ram air I would just tack on some fake dual hood scoops. I've seen some that look identical to the ones on those hoods.

Otherwise I would go with the hood you posted first. The other 2 look stock with scoop tack ons.

The hood in your original post should look fine on your car. Your spoilers and the wheels will help it fit in as the only thing that is missing from the Cervini pic is the side exit exhaust.
