I have recently bought a 2000 GT with 40,000 miles on it and I want to put a supercharger on it. I have narrowed it down to two choices the Paxton or the Vortech mongoose kit. I have studied the Kenne Bell 1.7 long and hard but, it's too much for me money wise. My goals are to get the car as close to 400rwhp with leasing my kid out for cheap labor on the black market! I need to know which would you recommend based on drivability, durability, and actual horsepower/torque output. This car would only see light strip/grudge racing as this will be my DD for at least the next two years. I may have the funds later to go bigger so i need something that is going to make good power later on do the line. Thanks for your help!
P.S.
This one of the better forums I have seen, others that are too concerned with and/or letting imports outdo them on the street and the track. I am more concerned with that Chevy or Dodge owner that is in the next lane looking at me like I am short!

Lots of people seem to be swapping from Vortechs and Paxtons to KB's. I'm sure there will be an occasional 1.7 KB swap to a 2.2 KB, however, it seems like the 1.7's are in big demand. I think a lot of people want to put a 1.7 on a stock engine and "call it a day."
